Summer 2024

As summer winds down, I want to take a moment to highlight a project I've been deeply involved in. This season, I teamed up with IWantEDM—a leading EDM blog, social media platform, and hub for all things electronic dance music—to hone my journalistic and marketing skills.

I kicked off the summer by strategizing a comprehensive content plan and calendar for the coming months, which involved several late-night brainstorming sessions and plenty of doom scrolling on Instagram and TikTok for some much-needed inspiration on festival content creation.

Attending my first festival as part of a media team was a transformative experience. I had the incredible opportunity to interview several rising stars in the EDM scene. I'm truly grateful to have connected with such inspiring creatives and to hear firsthand about their journeys into the industry. One project I'm especially proud of is my in-person video interview with Cyclops. I was responsible for orchestrating the interview, filming on-site, editing the content, researching insightful and unique questions, and ultimately crafting the accompanying article.

In addition to Cyclops, I had the pleasure of interviewing other talented artists, including the amazingly talented and sweet Bella Renee, whom I had the privilege of seeing perform live shortly before our conversation. I also had the chance to interview Calcium Dubz, learning about his impressive journey from opening for Subtronics at the KIA Forum in 2022 to headlining his own tour in 2024. Lastly, I spoke with Ravyn Lyte, a trailblazer who is revolutionizing the music industry with AI. I'm incredibly inspired by all of these artists and feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn from them. I'm eager to watch their continued growth and success in the future.
